We strive to provide individuals living with and/or at risk for HIV/AIDS, INCARCERATION, MENTAL HEALTH and/or SUBSTANCE ABUSE, with tools to empower themselves, to enhance their quality of life, reduce recidivism, and the spread of HIV/AIDS/STDs, through education, preventive, referral and supportive services.

Capitol Area Reentry Program, Inc. was established to address the holistic needs of the Baton Rouge community.

Capitol Area Reentry Program Inc. (C.A.R.P.) is a minority organization founded in October in 2006 for the purpose of addressing the needs of the Baton Rouge community. We are located in North Baton Rouge in the Scotlandville Community. C.A.R.P. provide services to the most under-served, disenfranchised populations in the Baton Rouge Region 2 area, consisting of eight Parishes/Counties. We received our 501(c) 3 in August 2007 and in March 2008 received a 3 year grant to provide HIV Prevention services targeting the Injection Drug Use population.
